She'd been staring blankly at the ground for long enough that Meg wasn't sure why someone didn't come up to her to make sure she was still alive. It wasn't that she was injured or even ill, it was just that she wasn't sure where to go now.

It had been maybe twenty-four hours since he'd left and she was already pretty sure that she was floundering. She hadn't been alone since. . .well, it had been months and she wasn't sure now that she knew how. She'd gotten used to having Clarence around. Not only to watch her back, but to have to talk to.

Meg sighed and stood up from the park bench, stretching in a manner that would be painful for anyone who was, well -- human. She needed to pick a place and head there. At the very least stop wallowing in whatever the hell this was.

The Apocalypse was over. Prevented, as it were and now she was just going to have to live with the consequences of switching sides. She wished she'd thought through all the possible outcomes before she'd let him talk her into switching sides like she had.

It hadn't crossed her mind that when it was over, she'd be alone. Not only alone, but hunted and Clarence's reassurances that he would be able to hear her from Heaven if she needed his help weren't all that reassuring.

She'd thought he'd be staying on Earth and the idea that he wasn't just hadn't meshed with her plans.

That she'd not had in the first place.

Meg tilted her head to the side, listening for the sounds of people nearby. She grinned slightly. There were about four demons to the west of where she was standing. Angry. . .violent demons who would no doubt kill her the second they saw her.

With another stretch, she focused her energy more firmly and headed north.

At least they'd have a harder time finding her this way.

The demon the Winchesters came to know as “Meg” began possessing Meg Masters in the fall of 2006 under orders from her “father” Azazel with the intentions of manipulating Sam Winchester. She never really knew what the full plan was. She always just followed orders. After being sent out a high rise window, Dean Winchester exorcised her from the body of the Masters girl and sent her back to Hell.

She returned a year later after clawing her way out of Hell to possess Sam Winchester, separating him from his brother, she killed her way through three states, taking out hunters as she did. She kidnapped Jo Harvelle with the intention of forcing Dean to kill his brother. Dean and Bobby attempted to exorcise her, but she escaped before they could do so.

She took up residence in the body of a young actress in LA shortly thereafter and kicked around doing her own thing until Lucifer got out of the Pit. She rushed off to be at his side, doing his bidding until she was ordered to keep an eye on Castiel in Carthage. He used her as a floormat to escape the Holy Fire and she scampered off to protect herself.

Meg switched sides in the war midway through Season Five. After realizing that Lucifer meant to use the demons as canon-fodder, she allowed Castiel to convince her to help him and the Winchesters stop Lucifer and prevent the world from ending. A truce of sorts was formed until they managed it.

Now a year later, Meg's stuck in a world where the Winchesters are still very much alive and intend to kill her now that the truce is over. She's considered a turncoat and traitor by the Lucifer loyalists and Castiel has returned to Heaven to help run things. She's still reeling from the loss of faith in Lucifer and from what she's realized is an emotional attachment to Castiel she hadn't acknowledged until he was gone.

The consequences of her actions are becoming terribly clear to her now and she's not always one hundred percent certain she made the right choice.
